Welcome to the Elementary Art page. Elementary art encompasses the grades of PK4 through 5^th grade.  We are in a new art room complete with tile floors, two double sinks, running water, and LOTS of space.  How exciting for the kids and for their exploration in the arts.  Each year students are exposed to artists from different genres and art styles.    Students are challenged to do works of art that will reflect the works of these artists yet be uniquely their own.  This year we have focused on All American Artists with such names as Winslow Homer, Keith Haring, and Romare Bearden to name just a few.   It will prove to be fascinating and challenging.  To enhance our hall displays, I have created a blog that showcases individual pictures from the various artists we have studied and gets our heart our on the web to display for others.  You will find the link for that blog below.    As always, we have monthly art displays culminating with the Spring art show, showcasing our wonderful elementary talent. 

        Our goal at DCA is to define and develop young art talent and instill in each student the wonder of God’s creation through the hand of the Master Artist, God Himself.
