Welcome to the 8th Grade web page!! We strive to prepare students for high school with a challenging curriculum and accelerated classes in several subject areas to qualifying students. Physical Science has many experiments that coincide with the curriculum; English students are challenged with literature, writing and Romeo and Juliet; American History culminates with a trip to Washington, DC; Math includes Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 which includes TI-83 graphing calculator and its resources. Our laptop program has proved to be a great asset to the middle school. Extras include our Spiritual Retreat in the fall, creative drama and art classes, Spanish and Bible for a semester each, our excellent band and middle school choir; leadership opportunities in National Junior Honor Society and athletics; Winterfest and Homecoming activities as well as Spirit and fundraising days. Students take the ACT Explore test in the spring.
